Many thanks to Vampy, Red and Colly for their first impressions and editing help. Thanks also to Stella for infinite inspiration and having the courage to let me borrow her characters. You can find Gloria and Jessamine in their own tale.

The Yule bonfire was still blazing as Serenity blinked away sleep and nuzzled her lover's neck. A small murmur of happiness left Lillith's mouth as she snuggled in closer, wrapping her arms just a tiny bit tighter around Ser's shoulders.
"Lil? Wake up, honey."
"Mmmm... I doze off, sweetie?"
"Yeah, mama, we both did."
There was a blissful smile on Ser's face. Their spell complete, their love made flesh; it had been a beautiful way to start a magical evening. And the night was still young. Serenity wondered if her lady had more in store for them, or if she might have a chance to take over for a little while. After all, no matter which deities you worship, the holiday season is all about giving and sharing. Lil had already shared a wealth of beautiful surprises with Ser tonight, and she wanted to return the favor.
"You want to go inside?" Ser looked at her pink-haired goddess, awaiting a response.
"No, we should stay by the fire. It's not too cold here." Lil grinned sleepily up at Ser. "There's Guinness, wine and oatmeal cookies in the kitchen."
Serenity rose, gathered her robe about her and made a mad dash for the house, still barefoot in the snow. Reaching the kitchen door, she looked back just in time to see her woman stretch and arch. Lil possessed a certain catlike grace, which was one of the reasons Ser had fallen for her in the first place. Sighing happily, Ser opened the door and stepped into the quiet house. Inhaling the scent of the bayberry candle still burning on the dining room table, she went to the pantry and found the picnic basket she knew would be there. This she set on the kitchen counter as she gathered supplies. First, a bottle of Australian red wine. Lil couldn't get enough of the stuff and had two bottles in the fridge, as usual. She also found a four-pack of cold Guinness and added two cans to their basket of goodies. There was a bowl of oatmeal cookies, which were still warm. She wrapped a few in a clean towel. In a cabinet she found pint and wine glasses. One of each made her little gathering trip almost complete.
Back by the front door, Serenity found the bag she had dropped on the floor when she'd arrived. In a side pocket she found two small packages, wrapped in pink paper and tied with black ribbon. These she brought back to the kitchen and nestled in the basket with the glasses and refreshments.
When Ser stepped back through the back door and into the yard, the flames reflecting off of the snow and illuminating Lillith took her breath away. Her girl seemed to be positively glowing, inside and out. Serenity moved quickly to the blanket, her toes growing cold.
"Hey kitten, you still sleepy?" Ser set the basket down carefully, then knelt by Lil's side and kissed her cheek.
"I'm ok, babe; a little light-headed."
"I can fix that," came Serenity's reply as she opened the basket, first taking out their glasses. She filled the wine glass first and handed it to Lil, who smiled her thanks. After pouring her beer and placing it on the ground to settle, she opened the towel and offered the small pile of cookies; Lil took one and started chewing daintily on its edge.
Munching thoughtfully on her own cookie, Ser looked at her goddess and a nervous grin started spreading across her face. Lillith was oblivious, still buzzed from their spell, as she sipped her wine and nibbled.
"If you don't have any immediate plans for us, I have presents for you. Wanna open 'em now?" Ser had her hand in the picnic basket.
"Oh, presents!" Lil purred, delighted. "Yes, please."
Both boxes were fairly small; one a two inch wide cube, the other long and thin. Serenity handed over the latter, watching Lillith's face. Without skipping a beat, Lil untied the ribbon and had the paper off. Inside was a check, made out to her. When she saw the amount, her jaw dropped and she looked at Ser with questions all over her face.
"Baby, what's this? I mean, a check, yeah... but why?"
"Because it's just money; I have more of it than I need, and I know you're having a rough time with the boys now that Jerry's gone. I also know you're too proud to ask me and it kills you that your parents have been helping you out so much."
"I can't take this, sweetie," Lil whispered, concern wrinkling her brow.
"Yes you can, and you will. You need it more than I do. Besides, it's Yule. You can't turn down a gift."
"Thank you, baby. I don't know what to say." A single tear slipped down Lil's cheek as she squeezed Ser's hand.
"You don't need to say anything, honey. I know." Ser reached back into the basket and pulled out the remaining gift. She toyed with its bow a moment while Lil put the top back on the first box. They traded, and Lil looked at the tiny cube in her hands.
"I can't help but think this is going to be an even bigger surprise, knowing you. I'm nervous," she laughed.
"I don't think there's anything for you to be nervous about, missy," Ser winked and took a sip of her beer.
This made Lil even more curious. She grinned, blinking back tears, and untied the bow. Sliding the paper off, she removed the lid of the little box. Her smile lit up her entire face when she saw what it contained. It was a beautiful ring, a band of silver wire spun into knotwork with a heart-shaped piece of polished rose quartz.
"Will you marry me, mama?" Serenity's heart fluttered as Lil looked up, no longer trying to stop the flood. Her cheeks glistening, she bit her lip and nodded furiously. Her own heart seemed caught in her throat and words would not come. Instead of speaking, she leaned into Ser's chest and bawled like a baby.

The night, of course, was still young. The girls finished their drinks and carried everything inside, from their empty glasses and wrapping paper down to the big fur blanket. By the time everything was safely inside, most of the wood from their Yule fire had been reduced to embers. They put out what was left with handfuls of snow; they'd retrieve a piece later on and let it dry in the house for next year.
"So where to, my lovely wife-to-be?" Ser's smile of utter contentment lit up the room as they dressed.
"Call Gloria and Jess? They might still be in town... Even if they're not, I'm sure they'd love to hear the news."
Lil had the ghosts of tears still shining faintly on her cheeks. She couldn't imagine a better gift, and until tonight she seriously thought she'd never get married again. She just wished she could keep the waterworks turned off; she was happy as hell and didn't want to seem otherwise.
"Sounds like a plan, love. I'll go get Bonnie warmed up. If the girls are still in town, see if they wanna meet us at The Hole. I'm sure we'll see some other folks there." She kissed Lil on the forehead and practically skipped to the front door, humming to herself.
Lillith made the call, punching in the number from memory even though it was on speed dial. She was ready to burst, the need to share their happy news was so overwhelming. She grew impatient even as the first shrill ring sounded.
"Lil?" Jess had answered her cell phone quickly, interrupting the second ring.
"Jess! Hi honey! Listen, are you and Gloria doing anything right now? 'Cause if you're not, Ser and I were wondering if you wanted to meet us at The Hole for a drink. We have some news for you."
"Let me check, sweetie." Jess covered the phone, probably burying it in her cleavage; Lil could still hear her, only very muffled.
"Daddy, Lil and Ser wanna know if we can meet them at The Hole. They have news... Sounds like something exciting." There was a rustling noise and Jess was back on the phone, breathing a bit heavy.
"Yep," she panted, "We'll be there. Is an hour ok?"
"Sounds perfect!" Lil beamed, "You two crazy kids have fun til then!" She giggled as Jess hung up in the midst of a moan.
The Watering Hole was in the next town over, where Gloria and Jessamine were staying. It was a little bit country, a little rock n' roll; it was generally full of bikers and queers, though it wasn't strictly either type of bar. The owner, Phil, was an old leather daddy and had been friends with Ser's parents since she was tiny. Naturally, when she became old enough to legally drink, it was the place she usually went when she needed a cold beer and good company. It took a few minutes to warm Bonnie up and coax her out onto the road, and a good twenty minutes or so to drive over. Still, they were early. The girls walked up to the bar; Phil was behind it and glanced up with a grin.
"Well, if it isn't my two favorite baby dykes!" Phil was a shit, but the best kind; he was always happy to see you.
"Hey, Phil. Got some news for you, if you can keep a secret and not blab it as soon as Jess and Gloria walk in the door."
"You got those two comin' out of their hotel room to drink when they have an early flight tomorrow? Must be big news. Ok, I'll play along." He nodded to the empty stools in front of him before he turned to get their drinks.
"First round's on me." Phil usually found an excuse for most of the rounds to be on him; the rest he'd put on a tab, which he always cut in half before he'd hand it over. He couldn't charge good friends full price, which just might be why he was almost always working.
"Well, ya see... This li'l lady here is now officially my wifey-to-be." Ser's face lit up. "And my parents don't know yet, so don't go calling them either," she quickly added.

Phil stood a moment, unmoving, watching the bubbles swirl as Ser's Guinness settled. There was a strange look on his face when he turned around with their drinks in hand. He set them down on the bar and then made his way around it to where they sat. Standing behind them, he put an arm around each woman and gave them a big ol' bear hug.
"Holy shit! I knew it, the looks on your faces when you waltzed in here!" He gave them another squeeze and continued, "Drinks on me all night long. For Gloria and Jess too. What the hell'd ya drive way down here for? Listen, drink all ya want. The apartment upstairs is empty and y'all can crash up there. I'll make sure the others get home ok."
Phil had two apartments on the second floor above the bar; one he lived in, the other he rented out or let friends stay in when they fell on hard times. He owned the building, so in the latter situations he'd refuse anything in exchange. He was good people. In any case, his last renter had just happened to move out a few days before, and there was a furnished bedroom.
"Thanks, Pop!" the girls chimed in unison, hugging him back before he could get away. He blushed the smallest bit behind his beard and laughed them off.
"You're welcome. Now get to drinkin'!" Phil turned to the rest of the bar, clearing his throat.
"Next round's on the house, and these girls got somethin' to tell ya!" There were only ten or so patrons in the place; being both Christmas Eve and Yule with all that snow, most folks had stayed at home, whether it was theirs or someone else's. The ones who were there were regulars, every one of them. So the girls shared their happy news; hoots, hollers, hugs and drinks were among the varied responses they got. Everyone was more than happy for them.
Just as the ruckus was starting to die down, the door popped open. In it were framed two women, bits of snow dancing on the wind around them. The slighter of the two, fiery hair framing her shoulders, ducked inside first and blinked against the darkness. She was immediately followed by her companion, a blonde woman in leather chaps who patted her rump and pointed towards the beacon of Lillith's fluorescent locks. They trotted up to the bar, where Ser was slamming an Irish Car Bomb. They'd be spending the night upstairs, alright. Lil spun around on her stool and squeaked with delight, startling Serenity and almost making her choke on the drink.
"Jess! Gloria! You made it!" Lil was a bit tipsy and it showed; she was using her big voice. Jess laughed and threw her arms around her friend. Gloria clapped Ser on the back, winking at Lil.
"Ok, ladies, this better be good. You got us outta bed, you know; and we sure as hell weren't sleeping." She chuckled, looking at the pair expectantly.
Phil flashed a grin at the new arrivals, then turned to pour their drinks - Guinness and a ginger ale. He glanced over his shoulder, giving Ser a look that said, "Spit it out, girl!" Then he spoke to Jess.
"Sure you don't want a beer, sweetie? It's a special occasion, no kiddin'."
"Oh no, I don't think you wanna be cleaning my dinner off the bar." She looked queasy at the thought, and Phil dropped the matter.
"Well," Lil started.
"Sit down and get your drinks, girls. Then we'll tell you." Ser smiled sweetly and said no more, blinking as her last two Car Bombs kicked in and Phil returned with another. "Oh, shit, Phil."
"Ok, last one. I've seen ya drink more than this, kiddo. You can tough it out." Laughter trailed behind him when he went back for the rest of the drinks.
"Cheers, ladies," Gloria growled, lifting her pint glass in salute before downing nearly half her beer in one long sip. "So, what's the news?"
Ser looked over at Lil.
"You tell 'em, sweetness." Down went her fifth and final Car Bomb of the evening. Like a pro, she slammed the glass down about four seconds after she'd lifted it from the bar.
"We're gonna get married!" Lil blurted it out, sighing as though she'd just deflated. She leaned against the bar, a happy almost-puddle.
"Shit, that is big news. I think we'd better take the later flight tomorrow. Rest of the drinks are on me. We have some serious celebrating to do!" She smiled, getting up to hug the newly engaged pair. She gave Ser a bear hug and a kiss on the cheek; Lil got the same, followed by a goose.
"Dunno when or if I'll be able to do that again," Gloria grunted, laughing. Jess jumped up and threw in her kisses and gropes, Phil watching with a snicker and a raised eyebrow.
"Sorry, Gee; your money is absolutely no good here tonight. All you girls are gonna drink your fill on me, and then you're gonna stumble upstairs and sleep it off. You two can have the pull-out in the living room."
"Ok, Pops. But breakfast is on me in the morning and you're coming along."
"Sounds like we got a deal! Drink up!"
The rest of the crowd wandered out, one by one, wishing Lil and Ser well. A few had sprouted tears as they got drunker and more sentimental. Phil took a few sets of keys, making sure the worst ones got in cabs or sat around drinking water or coffee til he closed so he could bring them home. Phil was damn good people.
The four women sat around nursing their final drinks until Phil got back from his taxi runs. He washed their glasses, gave them a key and walked them upstairs.
"Well, girls, this is my stop. Have a good night," he winked, "And knock when ya'll are ready for breakfast. There's towels n' stuff in the closet." He disappeared into his apartment as the chorus of thanks died down and the women stumbled through the other door, chuckling and giggling at nothing in particular.

Lil claimed first go at the bathroom, having discovered a need to piss something fierce. While she took care of her business, Ser wandered into the kitchen to get a glass of water. In their absence, Jessamine donned a mischievous look and leaned into Gloria, whispering.
"You wanna play, Daddy?" She curled her fingers around Gloria's bicep, kissed the muscle there.
"My little slut wants to fuck, hmm?" Gloria wrapped an arm around the smaller redhead's waist, pulling her close. "Ok, sweetheart. You see what the girls are up for."
"Thank you, Daddy," Jess purred sweetly, wriggling away to knock on the bathroom door. She disappeared into the tiny room just as Serenity returned from the kitchen with her water.
"What are those two up to, Gee?" Ser plopped down on the couch, an eyebrow raised in query.
"Little girl's horny, as usual. Wants to play," the blonde woman grunted, amused. She looked questioningly at her friend as she took the seat next to her. "What do you think?"
"Sure, I'm up for some fun. I'm sure Lil will be too - you know she adores Jess." Ser sipped her water and eyed the bathroom door. "In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they get started without us."
Gloria laughed and walked over to the bathroom, rapping on the door. When there was no answer after a few moments, she turned the knob and the door popped open several inches.
"What are you two up to in there?" she asked the crack in the door. Serenity rose from the couch and looked on, amused, as Gloria opened the door further to examine the source of the giggles that were her only response. They found Lillith still sitting on the toilet, blushing as Jess suckled one of her toes.
"Where are your manners, little girl? I asked you a question." Gloria looked at Jessamine, who winced and sat back on her heels.
"I'm sorry, Daddy. I guess I got a little carried away trying to convince Lil to play." She crawled to the other woman's feet and kissed her boot.
"You just mind your manners," Gloria started, turning away. "And come on out to the living room so we can watch."
"Yes, Daddy." Jess scrambled to her feet and looked at Lillith, who had risen and fixed her clothes. "Wanna play, sweetie? We can put on a show for Gee and Ser."
Lil bit her lip, deep in thought for just a few seconds. She was a little shy, not having had an audience for most of the sex she'd had. Still, she was among friends - good friends, at that. "Aww, the hell with it," she decided. Stepping forward, she placed her right hand into Jessamine's outstretched left one. Slowly, they walked back into the living room. Their lovers sat on the couch, yakking about their motorcycles.
"...Crazy trip. Next time you visit, remind me to show you the boot. I oughtta have the damn thing bronzed." Gloria laughed and looked over at the girls.
"So, do we get our show?"
Lil and Jess nodded in unison.
"Ok, little girls, get to it."
Jessamine wiggled her hips at their audience while slowly removing her t-shirt and jeans. These she let fall where they may, grinning mischievously at the women on the couch. She unhooked and slid off her bra, emphasizing her tits' freedom by shaking them. Her hair fell down to frame them as she straightened back up. The little dance continued while she bent over and inched her panties down along her thighs until they fell to the carpet and were kicked away. She bent down to take off her shoes and carefully placed them out of the way so they wouldn't cause anyone to trip.
Straightening back up, Jess reached around behind Lil's neck and untied the ribbon holding the pink ringlets away from her face. She ran her fingers through the other woman's hair, combing it out to fall around her shoulders. Lil purred, enjoying the gentle rake of those nimble fingers. She relaxed a bit and smiled coyly. Jess whispered in her ear, asking if it was ok to undress her. Lil smiled shyly, nodding her consent. The redhead leaned in close, gave the other girl a quick kiss before unbuttoning the soft blue sweater she wore. Once the front was open, she slid the top slowly back off of Lil's shoulders and let it drop to the floor. Reaching around to unfasten the bra, Jess brushed her tits up against Lillith's, drawing a soft moan from the other woman as her nipples hardened. She slid the bra off, dropped it to be reunited with the sweater on the floor.
Dropping to her knees, Jess unbuckled Lil's belt and then undid her pants. She slid these down until she needed Lil's help in taking them off. One foot, then the other, they made it to the carpet. Lillith giggled, her face flushing red as her tits shook of their own accord. Standing there in nothing but her panties, she had a small attack of nerves and looked at Serenity for reassurance. Her lover's face was just as peaceful as her name implied; she smiled, beaming encouragement. She was indeed enjoying the show.
